Wordpress Elasticpress Searchly Integration - where do I customize settings?

David Apr 20, 2018 04:03AM +03

Hello, we are using Searchly for a Wordpress site, using the Elasticpress plugin. I need to customize the fuzziness of the search, and create custom mapping.

Can I do that customization here in searchly, or is that something I need to do on the wordpress side?

Hi David,

About fuzziness, that needs to be done at plugin. On the other hand configuring mapping depends. It is still can be done at plugin and which I recommend, however also you can do it at Searchly. What you need to do is first let plugin generate index and mapping, get names and current mapping, delete it and replace with new one using same fields with different configuration. If you need custom fields etc. again it must be done at plugin.

I think it is best to go with plugin configuration and let us know if you hit the wall.

Best,
Ferhat
